Star Parties for 2009:

Star parties are observing session conducted at nearby "dark sky" sites, and held on the Saturday closest to the New Moon.  Meet at the LAVC Planetarium to obtain directions, then drive to the pre-designated site.  Attendees provide their own transportation.  Bring your own telescopes or binoculars, or use ours.  Warm clothing is recommended.  Sites change and events are subject to cancellation due to weather, so call on the day of the event!  LAVC hotline (818) 947-2335.
